Ingredients For Bead Soup Have Arrived!
It is so much fun to get a box of beads in the mail! My bead soup partner, Suzette, sent me a wonderful assortment of beads. blues, browns, ambers, and even a little pink thrown in! Also a really fun brass clasp and some flat leather cord. The focal is a clay bead from Humblebeads, it has a very organic feel to it. There are two matching clay beads also from Humblebeads. The light blue beads are faceted blue lace agate...a very pretty color! She put in some really neat shaped dark brown Phillippine wood beads, some Bronzite rondelles and a whole bag of czech glass beads that are amber in color. I have a couple ideas...we will see what I finally come up with. I can't wait to see what Suzette makes with the beads I sent her. The final reveal is March 3rd. There are 200 participants this time...that is a lot of blog hopping!

My Second Bead Soup Blog Hop!
Yeah!! I was lucky enough to be one of the 200 randomly picked participants in Lori Anderson's 5th Bead Soup Blog Party! My partner's name is Suzette Bentley and she lives in North Carolina, where I hope it is a lot warmer than the 20 degrees we are seeing in Ohio today. She has a really nice website called Ellie's Bijoux, where she sells her beautiful jewelry. I am almost done putting together the package of beads I am going to send her, and I hope she thinks they are as wonderful as I do!
I am excited to see what she send to me. Usually, when you work on your own jewelry it is pieces you have picked out your self. I know that I always gravitate to the same thing or color scheme(although I am trying to branch out color wise). That is why these exchanges are so much fun. They make you think outside your usual box.
So I will post pictures when I get my surprise package and get ready for the big reveal on March 3rd!

Wrapping Up the Blog Hop
I have had so much fun looking at everyone's blogs and seeing all of the different jewelry that was made. Everyone is so talented and all the finished pieces looked so different. It is so interesting to see all the different components people like to work with. Thank you all for your really nice comments. And thank you Lori for hosting this hop, it is an incredible amount of time you dedicate to this project. I really look forward to the next one in January.
